systems, Virelec provides a highly specialized design and manufacturing
service for custom, low volume, control products.
Our facilities were developed specifically for short-run manufacturing
and have the built-in flexibility to work with a client’s preferred
technology to develop a product that can be ordered, built, tested
and delivered quickly and cost-effectively.
Typically Virelec develops a product to the client's specification.
Prototypes are built, tested and submitted for approval. Following
approval, part numbers and bills of material are created as are
any specialised assembly and test instructions. When lead times
are critical, component parts are inventoried. |
Examples of custom products
that Virelec supplies are:
- pole-top RTU's,
- radio communication units,
- DC power supplies,
- DC distribution panels and junction boxes.
The products all use design principles and
component parts specific to the industry application including
for example, utility-grade relays, high interrupt current
fuses, and sub-station hardened power supplies.
